Did You Know?

OUR GOAL HERE IS TO KEEP YOU INFORMED ON RELEVANT ISSUES OF THE DAY FOR LAKE KEOWEE RESIDENTS…

The Cliffs has concluded the purchase of an additional 600 acres on Lake Keowee. The acquisition will expand The Cliffs at Keowee Springs community, one of three Cliffs communities on the lake.

Duke Enery dock permitting requirements are subject to change. For waterfront property owners who have not installed a dock, this is something to monitor. The cost of obtaining a valid permit has increased but more important are the changing rules. A permit is only good for a year. To reissue a permit, you must apply AGAIN and the new application is just that, NEW and subject to whatever rules are in place at the time. Once you install a dock, you are “grandfathered” for that dock. Don’t be caught unaware and unable to get a dock permit!!  Read “your waterfront” by Dave Kroeger for more details.
